Birchfield Children’s Centre is looking for volunteers to help with a Junk Food Project. Shirley Graham describes what the project involves.
“The real Junk food project prepares and cooks food that would have been wasted. If you live in the B19 or B20 area then Birchfield Children’s Centre will be setting up a café in the new year for our local families who are on low incomes or for those who have no recourse to public funds. The families that access this will benefit from a hot cooked meal. We are also looking for volunteers to help with this by preparing and cooking food or assisting with the tidying up.”
