Birchfield Big Local is looking for someone to support the social enterprise hub.
Promoting and supporting social enterprise has been a key part of Birchfield Big Local from day one. There are many people in Birchfield with gifts, passions, and skills that they would like to share for the benefit of the wider community.
The purpose of the role is to work with the resident-led partnership and UnLtd to increase the opportunities to meet local needs locally through social enterprise and specifically to:
- Develop a programme of training and support in response to the needs of existing social enterprises and new start-ups.
- Work with Birchfield Big Local to maximise the opportunities for social enterprises through key developments such as the Commonwealth Games, changes in adult social care and health service procurement etc.
- Work with the Birchfield Big Local partnership to ensure that the contribution of social enterprises complements the wider work of Birchfield Big Local and the development of a proposed Community Hub.
