The Birchfield Big Local Family Fun Day went ahead at the Boat House Cafe, Handsworth Park, despite the wet weather. Sports and games were provided by Richard Smith and Goaldenevents; arts and crafts by Claudette Holmes.
Young people from Team Victorious (team-victorious.co.uk) – part of ATHAC CIC – had a stall to display and sell t-shirts they had designed. Shaana, Asda Community Life Champion, was giving away cake to celebrate Asda’s 50th anniversary. Penny provided face painting and Mikey Godfrey the PA system.
There were information stalls representing Nishkam Centre, Midland Heart, Birchfield Big Local, and Active Parks.
A huge thanks to everyone involved especially Tony and Andrea at the Boat House Cafe, Dorrette and Rhonda (BBL Partnership) and Suki and the many BBL volunteers who helped on the day.

A big thanks also to Indalo Marquees without whom we would have got very wet!
