Do you have a child with a disability or a sensory need? If so, then you may be interested in a series of workshops to share practical ideas on creating sensory resources for use at home with your child. The workshops are organised by Athac – a diverse parent-led group who are main carers to children with a range of disabilities. The group aims to challenge exclusion by creating and supporting access to heritage, arts and leisure opportunities for disabled and non-disabled children, young people and their families.
The first workshop on Friday 14th November is a trip to Worcester Resources Exchange. This scrapstore has an amazing range of reclaimed and recycled materials which can be used in all kinds of creative ways. The following two workshops at Grosvenor Road Studios on Thursday 20th and Thursday 27th November will focus on making sensory resources for use at home with children.
