Please come and join us for the spring opening of the Boat House Cafe in Handsworth Park on Saturday 4th April, 11am – 3pm. There will be boat rides, a family arts activity and play activities for under 5’s. The aim is to encourage more Birchfield residents to visit the park and use the facilities available including the Boat House Cafe. Handsworth Park is the nearest significant open space to residents living in the Birchfield Big Local area – just a short walk away across Hamstead Road. The park represents an invaluable asset to promote health and well-being, outdoor play, cultural and heritage activities for people living and working in the Birchfield Big Local area. The Boat House Cafe recently received support through the Star People Awards promoted by UnLtd – the leading provider of support to social entrepreneurs in the UK.
