Birchfield Big Local is one of several organisations working with Gallery37 North and Punch Records to commission seven artworks across the public realm, throughout North Birmingham – high streets, shopping centres, waterways and parks. This will be delivered around January 2020 – June 2021.
In Birchfield, the commission will result in an accessible, high-quality Light Night event that will connect local people and families together, experiencing their urban environment in new ways and celebrating the heritage and cultural diversity of the area.
The partners include Punch, Saathi House, The Active Wellbeing Society, Birmingham International Dance Festival, Big Local Birchfield, Canal & Rivers Trust, DanceXchange, Erdington Arts Forum, PRS Foundation, Help Musicians, Youth Music, Erdington High Street BID, and Arts Council England.
