This year’s Christmas Choir Event was hosted by Dorrette Hanson at Grosvenor Road Studios. Forty- five people joined us for the event – a significant increase on last year – and began with carols sung by the choir from Wilton oad United Reformed Church, followed by a performance by the Birchfield Big Local Writers Group and songs from the Community Choir.
We also had a rendition of Silent Night in Polish and Ave Maria in Spanish from members of the English Conversation Class. The occasion was also an opportunity to recognise the achievements of participants in the English Conversation Classes and Basic IT Classes run by local volunteers.
