Staff changes

Volunteer Coordinator for the past three-years – Suki Sohi – left in December for a post with Focus Birmingham, a charity providing expert support, advice and information to people affected by sight loss or other disabilities. Suki recruited many volunteers and guided and supported them in their various roles with Birchfield Big Local. She will be greatly missed by all. We wish her all the best in her new role with Focus Birmingham. Staff and volunteers organised a leaving do for Suki at Grosvenor Road Studios, which was an opportunity for everyone to thank Suki for her contribution to Birchfield Big Local over the past three years and wish her well for the future.

Community Hub Survey

Community Hub Survey

It has long been an aspiration of residents to create a Community Hub – “a common space for building common ground”. Following a survey in 2015 of community assets in the area we have identified buildings and sites that might be suitable for such a Community Hub. We now need to develop a project brief to ensure that the building meets the needs and aspirations of all the people of Birchfield. Please make your views known by completing this short survey by 8th September 2017.

The survey can be completed online by typing in the following URL: https://goo.gl/h9MvxM

If you live in the Birchfield Big Local area you will also receive a paper copy of the survey with a Freepost envelope.
