Artist, resident, and Birchfield Big Local volunteer, Adlin Shorter, has been sharing her passion for art with the community. Starting with an exhibition of influential black leaders and artists for Black History Month 2017 at Grosvenor Road Studios, Adlin has displayed her portraits at St Mary’s Church, Handsworth, St Clare’s Catholic Primary School and at Handsworth Library. The exhibitions have received positive comments. For example one person commented:
“Good day Adlin, trust you are well. I am in the library at Handsworth admiring your paintings, they are wonderful. God has truly blessed you with an amazing gift. May God continue to grant you dreams and visions as you travel along this journey.”
